Phase 0
EXPLORATION

In this initial stage, we aim to deeply understand who you are and how you live.

We analyze your needs, aspirations, and lifestyle, jointly defining the project scope, site conditions, available budget, and the technical and regulatory criteria that will guide the process.

This dialogue allows us to establish a solid and realistic foundation to move forward with clarity.

Phase 1
ARCHITECTURE

In this first phase, the architectural project is developed, beginning with a thorough analysis of the site, its urban or natural context, and the client’s specific needs. Preliminary studies are prepared to assess the project’s feasibility from regulatory, technical, and economic perspectives.

Subsequently, the process advances to conceptual definition, developing the architectural idea that will shape the project. This is expressed through diagrams, volumetric studies, functional layouts, and initial spatial proposals. Once the concept is validated, the detailed design phase follows, where layouts, proportions, structural systems, installations, and primary materials are defined. This phase concludes with the preparation of the required technical documentation: architectural drawings, descriptive and construction specifications, and all materials necessary to apply for permits and construction licenses. The goal is to deliver a comprehensive, clear, and executable project that ensures technical soundness and architectural value.

Phase 2
INTERIOR DESIGN

The second phase focuses on the creation and realization of the interior spaces. Based on the established architectural framework, interior design proposals are developed to meet both functional and aesthetic criteria, carefully considering the relationship between form, light, color, textures, and furniture.

This process includes the detailed selection of finishing materials, claddings, carpentry, lighting systems, fixed and loose furniture, as well as accessories that contribute to creating a unique atmosphere consistent with the project’s identity.

Detailed drawings, photorealistic renderings, and technical specifications are prepared to serve as a guide during construction, ensuring that every interior element meets standards of comfort, durability, and aesthetics. The interior design phase ensures that spaces are not only functional but also convey emotion and adapt to the users’ daily lives.

Phase 3
CONSTRUCTION

The third phase corresponds to the physical execution of the project. It includes comprehensive planning and site management, coordinating technical teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the proper implementation of the architectural and interior design.

This stage involves rigorous monitoring of construction processes, verifying compliance with schedules, resource optimization, and quality control at every stage of the work. It also includes supervision of finishes, furniture installation, and technical systems, ensuring that every detail aligns with the design defined in previous phases.

Our focus during this phase is to provide continuous client support, resolving on-site issues and optimizing decisions in real time. The ultimate goal is to deliver a completed project under a turnkey model, where the client receives a built, functional, aesthetic space—ready to be inhabited or used for its intended purpose.

Daniel Díaz

Founding Partner | Project Director

Daniel is an architect from Universidad Santo Tomás, with a Master of Science in Advanced Architecture from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences in Germany. He is the Design Director at Tiento and leads the digital development of the office.

After completing his bachelor’s degree in 2014, he worked in Bucaramanga, Colombia, focusing on the design and construction of high-end projects in the healthcare and private residential sectors.

He later continued his professional path in Frankfurt, Germany, where he obtained his M.Sc. degree and went on to work at the internationally award-winning firm schneider+schumacher. There, he gained experience across all project phases, with a particular focus on detailed design, construction documentation, and the technical development of architectural projects.

Since 2026, Daniel has been a member of the Chamber of Architects in Hessen, Germany (AKH).

Daniel brings to Tiento a strong artistic sensitivity—rooted in one of his greatest passions and current fields of study—together with technical rigor, structure, and a long-term vision for the practice. His approach connects the creative and material sensibility of Latin American architecture with the precision and methodology of German architectural practice.

Juan David Flórez

Founding Partner | Project Director

Juan is an architect and founding partner of Tiento. As project director, he makes sure that ideas move from concept to built reality—coordinating processes with focus, clarity, and dedication.

After graduating in 2015, he spent six years working at a studio in Bucaramanga, where he contributed to the design and coordination of high-end residential, retail, and gastronomy projects.

He later continued his professional journey in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he worked as an architect at a construction firm, taking part in the development of both residential and commercial projects. During this time, he gained valuable experience with U.S. building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes—deepening his ability to lead complex projects and navigate diverse regulatory environments.

Deeply committed to the well-being of both teams and users, Juan leads each project with empathy, charisma, and a strong capacity to move things forward.

Gerson Rozo

Architect

Gerson is in charge of architectural visualizations at Tiento. His skills in 3D modeling, rendering, and animation allow him to create photorealistic images and virtual walkthroughs that clearly communicate design ideas. Beyond his technical expertise, he brings an artistic sensitivity that enhances each proposal, capturing the atmosphere and spatial experience of the projects.

He graduated as an architect from the University of Pamplona in 2019, holds an official certification in modeling and rendering from Chaos Academic (Grupo Red), and has training in BIM coordination from the Universidad Piloto de Colombia. His professional background includes working as a design director in Bogotá-based studios, developing residential and educational projects across various regions of Colombia.

At Tiento Taller, Gerson contributes a technical yet sensitive perspective to design, always aiming to create functional and welcoming spaces. He is a dedicated collaborator, open to dialogue and continuously exploring new trends and innovations in architecture.

Jimena Vargas

Architect

Jimena takes part in the different phases of the architectural project, with a particular focus on design and visual development. Her work ranges from drafting and reviewing drawings to developing ideas and solutions, integrating the various tools available within the team.

After graduating as an architect in 2016, she worked independently on the design and construction of countryside homes in Santander, Colombia. This experience gave her a deep understanding of local architecture, especially in relation to climate analysis and the topography of the region.

Within the team, Jimena brings a positive attitude and a keen eye for detail. She is motivated by being part of Tiento Taller because it offers a space of constant learning, where she can grow across different areas of the practice and contribute in a collaborative environment where every input is valued and adds to the development of each project.

Erick Perez

Project Coordinator

Erick plays a key role throughout the entire construction process at Tiento. He is involved from the development of detailed construction drawings to on-site supervision, ensuring that each project is executed with precision and high quality. He also coordinates the various contractors involved, making sure communication is clear and the execution aligns with the design intent.

After graduating as an architect in 2017, he worked on public bidding projects for civil works companies, where he was responsible for coordinating multiple ongoing projects. He later specialized as a site supervisor and inspector for single-family and multi-family housing projects, overseeing all phases from foundation work to final finishes.

At Tiento, Erick is the one who ensures that every detail is well-defined before reaching the construction site—so that all teams involved deliver consistent, high-standard results.
